She received her Masters in Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles with the LGBT Specialization. She received her BA in Women’s Studies and Sociology at Oberlin College in Ohio.
She specializes in LGBTQ Affirmative therapy that addresses sexuality and gender issues, internalized homophobia, biphobia and transphobia, and how these internal phobias can relate to multiple oppressions such as racism and sexism. She works with LGBTQ identity development and how to empower the LGBTQ soul towards greater strength and liberation.
She has worked with many forms of addiction including alcoholism, marijuana addiction, crystal meth addiction, codependency and sex and love addiction and can help develop a path of risk reduction or sobriety based on the client’s needs. She offers effective and healing ways to address childhood and adult trauma, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, depression and anxiety. She can address communication and intimacy with couples using Emotionally Focused Therapy and individuation.
